Obituary of Debra Lynn Schaffer Nelson

Debra Lynn Schaffer Nelson of Elk Grove, formerly of Lodi, passed away on March 8, 2006 at the age of 35. Mrs. Nelson was born in French Camp on February 25, 1971 to John and Susan Watkins. She was educated in Lodi and graduated from Delta College with an A.A. Degree. She served in the U. S. Navy. She was devoted to her family, and enjoyed shopping and country music. Debra is survived by her husband, Eric Nelson of Elk Grove; son, Joshua Schaffer of Newcastle; step-children, Colin and Kyla Nelson of Elk Grove; mother and step-father, Susan and Mike Sheehan of Stockton; John Watkins, father, of Georgia; brother, Leslie (Shannon) Vannorsdall of Lodi and two nieces, Caitlan and Sara Vannorsdall. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. There is no visitation, and committal will be private.
