Obituary of Elisa Ann Lapenta

Elisa Ann " Lisa " Lapenta, a long-time resident of Lodi, passed away in Lodi at the age of 73 on February 18, 2006. Mrs. Lapenta was born in Detroit, Michigan to Pietro and Enrica Bacani on April 5, 1932. They moved to Lodi in 1947 when she was 15 years old. Lisa graduated from Lodi High School, class of 1949. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Marc Club, Woodbridge Golf & Country Club and Fore-Tee-Niners. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling, golfing, but most importantly, her family. Her life and her love were her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be so very dearly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Mike Lapenta of Lodi; son, Robert Lapenta of Lodi; daughter, Rita Marie and husband, Christopher Neudeck of Stockton; grandchildren Elise and Michael Neudeck of Stockton; mother, Enrica Bacani and sister, Irma and husband, Ross Westbrook of Lodi. She was preceded in death by her father, Pietro Bacani. A chapel service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel with Father Nathan White of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. Committal will immediately follow. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
