Obituary of Fred George Questo

Mr. Fred George Questo of Lodi and former resident of Wallace passed away Saturday February 18, 2006 in a Lodi hospital at the age of 86. Mr. Questo was born February 24, 1919 in Sunnybrook, California to George and Manila Questo. Mr. Questo owned and operated Questo Cattle Ranch in the Wallace and Lodi area for many years before retiring in 2000. Mr. Quest attended and graduated from Calaveras High School Class of 1939 and was a Charter Member of the Clements Buck-A-Roos and the Central Valley Men's Club of Lodi. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He will be best remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jean Questo of Lodi; 3 sons, Warren Questo of Eldorado Hills; David Questo of Salt Springs Island, BC; Larry Questo of Lodi; 1 daughter, Diane Weatherby of Salt Springs Island, BC: 3 grandchildren, Heather Metz of Galt; Eric and Thomas Weatherby of Salt Springs Island, BC; 2 great grandchildren, Michael and Jonathan Metz of Galt. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Questo. A chapel service will be held Friday February 24, 2006, 10:00 am at the Lodi Funeral Home, followed by a private interment at the Lodi Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Lodi Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the charity of donor's choice.
