Obituary of Harry A. Leland

Harry A. Leland of Lodi passed away in Lodi at the age of 79 on February 9, 2006. Mr. Leland was born in Salinas, CA on April 24, 1926 to Thomas and Eleanor Leland. He traveled and lived in various places, including San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Chico, Arizona and Idaho. He moved to Lodi ten years ago. Before he retired, he worked at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. He also served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1944. He enjoyed walking, and riding his bicycle , cross country. He biked to many distant places. He also collected model cars. Mr. Leland is survived by his two sisters, Nancy Scott of Arizona and Betty Leland of South San Francisco; two nieces, Patricia Carol Leland of San Mateo and Susan Wertz of Arizona; nephew Vincent Lee Scott of Arizona and his companion and good friend, Sharon Montgomery. Committal is private, and there is no visitation.
