Joseph Blaine Peters, a long-time resident of Lodi passed away on February 14, 2006 in Lodi at the age of 71. Mr. Peters was born in Cortland, Ohio on March 2, 1934 to John and Pauline Peters. He moved to Lodi in 1960. He also served in U.S. Army. He had been a maintenance supervisor at Guild Winery for 25 years before his retirement. Mr. Peters was a handyman, enjoying building and tinkering in his shop. He also enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his children; Pauline (Frank) Pesco of Lodi, Virginia Gardner of Lodi, Donna (John) Krein of Lodi, Ken (Mary Linda) Peters of Stockton, James (Kelly) Reid of Corning, Jan (Ernst) Koinzan of Woodbridge and Allen (Jeanette) Peters of Stockton; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, John Peters of Johnson, Ohio and two sisters, Mary Humphrey of Warren, Ohio and Laura Griffin of Johnson, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Peters and brother, Paul Peters. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 21st at 1:00 p.m. at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204-1953.
