James Gene Faul of Stockton, formerly of Lodi, passed away in Stockton at the age of 72 on February 14, 2006. Mr. Faul was born in Bismarck, N.D. on February 25, 1933 to Edward and Emma Faul. His family later moved to California. He graduated from Galt High School, and went on to serve in the U. S. Army from 1953-1955. In April of 1956, he married Margie Melhaff, and they moved to Lodi. They later moved to Stockton where they have resided for the last 40 years. He worked as a supervisor for Tri-Valley Canners and Growers for 35 years before his retirement. Mr. Faul loved sports of all kinds. He played basketball in his earlier years, played golf and he was an avid bowler. He recently bowled 300 with the Peace Officers League on Fridays. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Margie Faul of Stockton. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Vern and Erv Faul. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park with Mr. Jimmy Winchester of Church of Christ officiating. Friends are invited to visit Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until noon at Lodi Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 East Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204.
