Obituary of Calvin Coolidge Jordan

Calvin Coolidge Jordan of Ione, formerly of Acampo, passed away on February 6, 2006 in Ione at the age of 78. Mr. Jordan was born in Parkview, New Mexico on May 1, 1927 to Benjamin and Pearl Jordan. He moved to California with his family in 1941 to the San Fernando Valley. He was in the Merchant Marines and then the U.S. Army. In 1951, he married Jean McCombs and moved to Modesto in the 1950's. They eventually moved to Acampo, having moved to Ione in August of 2005. He had been in construction work for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Calvin is survived by his wife, Jean Jordan of Ione; son, James (Kris) Jordan of Galt; three daughters, Jan B. Jordan of Ione, Joyce Jordan and Anita Wiley of Madera; four grandsons, Jonathan Jordan of Oroville, Timothy Tompsett of Madera,James Wiley and David; two granddaughters, Jamie Wiley and Joy Lynn; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Jordan of MN, Jim Jordan and Charles Jordan of OR; sister, Loretta Bridges of OR. He was preceded in death by brother, Bob Jordan and two sisters, Virginia Williamson and Ruby Williamson. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 12 noon at Lodi Memorial Cemetery with Pastor John Trotter of Horizon Community Church of Galt officiating.
