Obituary of Jennifer Lee Pedersen

Jennifer went home to be with her creator on Wednesday, December 14, 2005, with her loving husband Richard and beloved daughter Michelle at her side. She was born Jennifer Lee Chilcott in Oxnard, CA on December 3, 1955, and on November 7, 1981, married Richard A. Pedersen in Meadow Vista, CA. Jennifer was a resident of Woodbridge since 1996. In 1986, Jennifer graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with HONORS. In 1992, she became a licensed Real Estate agent, and was currently associated with Schaffer Suess & Boyd Realtors in Lodi. Jennifer was a prolific reader, and would often devour numerous volumes in very short periods of time. She was especially interested in books on history, mythology, angels, spiritual enlightenment, self-improvement, and fantasy when something lighter was called for. She was also a long time member of the Rosicrucian Order, and had served as Master of the Sacramento Lodge. One of Jennifer's dearest friends, whom she communicated with almost daily via Email, described her in the following way: "Jennifer was a kind soul, a beautiful soul. She was so tolerant and patient with adversity. She just looked it straight in the eye and kept going. She was a very hard worker, striving to better her situation, her life, her marriage, her family. She was authentic. She didn't wear a fa?ade. She walked the talk. She was deeply spiritual, knowing there was so much more to life than what we experienced on the physical level and she strove to gain knowledge of this and to understand the knowledge she gained. Most of all, she lived what she learned and shared that knowledge with anyone who desired to know more. She always had the time for that. She loved surrounding herself with beauty and grace. She loved adventure and discovering new experiences. She loved sharing her excitement and anything that gave her pleasure. She wanted others to feel the joy she was feeling." Anyone that knew Jennifer will know this perfectly describes her. She leaves behind her loving husband Richard, of Woodbridge, beloved daughter Michelle Mathews and husband Brandon, of Lockeford, parents Jack and Katie Holt of Rogue River, OR, and Lester Chilcott of Mankato, KS, parents-in-law Norm and Marilyn Pedersen of Jamestown, NY, brother Jeff Chilcott and wife Susan of Mukilteo, WA, six nieces and nephews, and many, many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. There is no visitation, and committal is private.
