Obituary of Johann Scheu

Mr. J. Hans Scheu of Acampo passed away peacefully Saturday November 19, 2005 at his residence at the age of 73. Mr. Scheu was born December 23, 1931 in New Berlin, Ukraine to Fredrick and Magdalena Scheu. Mr. Scheu previously worked as a journeyman cabinet maker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before moving to Lodi in 1962. In 1967 Mr. Scheu established the S&R Egg and Pistachio Ranch in Acampo and continued to manage the family ranch until most recent time. He was a long time member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, the SIRS Club 18 of Lodi and Past President of the Dakota Club of Lodi, and Past Vice President of Hermanson Loghrin Lodge of Lodi. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be best remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mrs. Elvira Scheu of Acampo; 1 son Peter Scheu and wife Pati of Acampo; 1 daughter, Monica Scheu of Alameda; 2 brothers, Victor Scheu of elm Grove, Wisconsin; Fred Scheu of Lake Zurich, Illinois; 1 sister, Irene Brunner of Brookfield, Wisconsin; 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Chelsey Scheu of Acampo. A church service will be held Tuesday November 29, 2005, 1:00 pm at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, followed by interment at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.
