Obituary of Altha Lantz

Altha Lantz was born May 26, 1925 in Buffalo, Arkansas. She passed away peacefully in Lodi, Ca, surrounded by her family on October 10, 2005, she was 80 years old. Altha settled in Lodi with her husband in 1963. They began working harvesting and with various farmers until they started their own business contracting farm labor. After her husband's death in 1967 she continued operating the business until her retirement in 1987. She then "oversaw" as two of her daughters; Juanita and Obedia carried on the family business. She enjoyed traveling to Jackson and taking trips to Arkansas, cooking, gardening and tending her roses, but her true love was spending time with her family, and she was known for never forgetting anyone's birthday. Altha is survived by her daughters; Juanita Anthony of Wilton, Theda Kremer of Pleasanton, Obedia Brochu of Folsom, and Laquita Ramirez of Lockeford. 6 Grandchildren, and 2 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, 2 sisters, and her husband Don Cecil Lantz. Family and friends are invited to attend Memorial Services on Thursday, October 13th, 2 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave. Pastor Sammie Walls of Woodbridge Community Church will officiate.
