Obituary of Arthur Roman

Arthur "Art" D. Roman, Jr., also known as "Grillo" of Stockton, formerly of Lodi, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2005 in French Camp at the age of 25. Mr. Roman was born in French Camp on February 5, 1980. He attended Heritage Elementary School and Senior Elementary and graduated from Lodi High School in 1998. On October 7, 2000, he married Desirae Lozano. This Friday is their fifth wedding anniversary. Art had been employed as a foreman for an underground cable construction company, Triax for the last seven years. He was an avid Raiders fan. He also enjoyed gardening, but most importantly, he was very family-oriented, and he was a devoted husband and father. He will be so deeply missed by his family that he loved so much. Art is survived by his wife, Desirae Roman of Stockton; son, Angelo Roman of Stockton; mother and father, Arthur and Yolanda Roman of Victor; brothers, Mike (Mary) Roman of Lodi, Eli Roman and Francisco Roman of Victor; sister, Desiree Roman of Victor; grandfather, John Roman of Los Angeles and grandparents, Francisco and Eloisa Deltoro of Mexico; nieces, Raven, Anaka, Michelle and Marissa; nephews, Anthony, Manuel and Mike; mother-in-law, Rose Lozano of Modesto; father-in-law, Tony Lozano of Manteca; sister-in-law, Lorraine (Manuel) Guzman of Manteca and brother-in-law, Tony Lozano of Manteca. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 7th at 10:00 AM at St. Anne?s Catholic Church in Lodi with committal to follow. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Thursday at 6:30 PM at Lodi Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a trust fund has been established in Art's memory: Arthur D. Roman, Jr., Trust Account # 1880413380 at any Washington Mutual Bank.
