Obituary of Elsie Bertsch

Elsie Bertsch, a special child born to Christian and Magdelina Bertsch, 21st May, 1917, passed gently in her sleep at home on September 22nd with family members at her side. She was 88. Elsie blessed all that came to know her humor and personality that surprised many; a good girl with just enough spunk. Her pastimes were puzzles, Mr. Ed and Wagon Train videos. She loved peanuts in the shell, chicken, men and her faithful dog of 15 plus years, Issak. Being around her, we undoubtedly inherited some of her sayings and quirky antics. She is thought of often, insuring her great spirit is passed on, today we remember certain occasions to laugh and smile for she has touched and taught many. She is survived by her sister, Viola Bright and many nieces and nephews. Six siblings preceded her in death: Ida Shrenk, Rudy Bertsch, Theresa Bertsch, Anne Furchner, Emma Whitmer and Lillian Conley. There is no visitation, and committal is private.
