MARY SUE PAROBEK , age 85 passed away at her home in Lodi, California on September 26, 2005 following a long illness. She was born in Aplin, Arkansas on March 7, 1920 to Samuel and Theresa Jones. Sue grew up in Arkansas and graduated from Union College in Lincoln Nebraska with a BA degree. Later she graduated from University of Nebraska with a M. Ed and following graduation she taught school for three years. She was married to John Parobek on June 6, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and they made their first home in Lincoln, Nebraska. From 1952 to 1957 John and Sue served as missionaries in Poona, India where Sue taught English at Spicer College. They returned to the USA and settled in Brecksville, Ohio. She retired as an elementary school teacher in 1984 from the Cleveland Public School System. She and her husband moved to Hernando, Florida in 1996 and to Lodi September, 2005. Sue was an avid reader, and enjoyed writing family history. She also enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables, and was an excellent cook. Sue especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, John Parobek of Lodi; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and David Bowen of Woodbridge; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Bowen of Orlando, Florida, Laura Bowen and Michael Bowen of Collegedale, Tennessee; sister, Toby Wilson of Nesbit, Miss.; brothers, Harold Jones of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Stanley Jones of Knoxville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home with Pastor Edmund Jones of Lancaster, CA officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to service time. Inurnment will be private.
