Obituary of Gladys Teresa McIntosh

Gladys Teresa McIntosh of Lodi, formerly of Lake Camanche, passed away in Stockton at the age of 87 on September 7, 2005. Mrs. McIntosh was born in Richmond, California on January 24,1918 to James and Lola Blount. She married Laurence McIntosh in 1935. She went to work for the University of California, Berkeley, as a bookkeeper and retired in 1975 after 30 years with the University. She was living in Calaveras County when she went to work for Bill's Music in Stockton, working there for ten years. She was an avid reader, and she also enjoyed bowling. Gladys had been a member of Women's Bowling Association, having been on a bowling team until fairly recently. She is survived by her children; Jo Ann (Garren) Conyers of Vacaville, Judith (Dean) Wilcox of Hayward, Jack McIntosh of Lodi, Jerry (Sue) McIntosh of Lodi and Jamie (Kathy) McIntosh of Lake Camanche; nine grandchildren, Carren, Darlene, Scott, Trisha, Randy, Jacob, Melissa, Lindsey and Lauren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence McIntosh, granddaughter, Sheri Wilcox and brothers, Lionel and Ernest Blount. A memorial service to celebrate Gladys' life will be on Thursday at 1:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel. There is no visitation, and committal is private. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor's choice.
