Ottelia "Tillie" Schlenker of Lodi passed away in Lodi on August 20, 2005 at the age of 98. Mrs. Schlenker was born in North Dakota on January 3, 1907 to Thomas and Katherine Meckler. She moved to California in 1934. She and her husband were farmers in the area for many years. Tillie enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, being with friends and entertaining, but most importantly, her family. She was a long-time member of the Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church. She is survived by her children, Willis Schlenker of Loma Linda and Verla Thorn of Modesto; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchildren; sister, Jean Reiswig of Hanford; She was preceded in death in by her loving huband Isaac Schlenker, and their sons, Robert and Norman Schlenker. A graveside service will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park on Tuesday at 1:00 PM. There is no visitation.
