Anna (Reich) Heimbuck Van Sant of Lodi passed away in Lodi at the age of 92 on July 4, 2005. Anna, the tenth child of Conrad and Katherine (Kimmel) Reich was born June 23, 1913 in Neu-Norka, Russia. She came to the United States with her parents and siblings, Mollie, Alex and Bertha at the age of ten. The family lived in Colorado before moving to Nebraska. Anna was married on November 27, 1932 to Henry Heimbuck in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. After their marriage, the newlyweds lived with Henry's parents on a farm south of Gering, Nebraska. They farmed in the Scottsbluff vicinity for many years. The moved to Lodi for a short time in 1957. In 1960, the love of the land lured Henry and Anna to Henry, Nebraska where they purchased 80 acres of land and continued to farm until 1963. Anna worked as a seamstress for J.C. Penney Co. and Ekhardt Cleaners in Scottsbluff. In 1969, she moved to Lodi. While living in Lodi, Anna worked at Cottage Bakery and Newfield?s Drapery. Anna married Lloyd Van Sant on March 16, 1975. They were married for 13 years until Lloyd's death on April 24, 1988. Anna enjoyed bingo, cooking and sewing. She was a member of Ebenezer Congregational Church, Loel Center and 50 Plus Group. Anna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children; Shirley (Ben) Goehring, of Lodi, Norma (John) Gates of Lodi, Barbara Zumbrennen of Casper, Wyoming; grandchildren, Brad (Kristin) Goehring, Brian (Cathy) Goehring, Michael (Annalisa) Zumbrennen, Robert (Candie) Zumbrennen, Michelle Zumbrennen, Adam (Sarah) Heimbuck, Stephanie Heimbuck; great-grandchildren, Blake, Lexus, Bryson, Brielle, Britney, Shannon, Mariah, Alec, Bradley and Anna Jean; sister, Bertha Adrian of Cottonwood, Az. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Heimbuck, Jr. on June 12, 1966, second husband, Lloyd Van Sant in 1988, son, Larry and wife, Beverly Heimbuck, sisters, Molly Roth and Alex Reich and nine other siblings. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 4:00 P.M. at Ebenezer Congregational Church. Committal will be private. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM, continuing Thursday from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Congregational Church, 825 S. Central Avenue, Lodi, CA 95240.
