Lee E. Rose, 70, of Lodi passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 25, 2005 with his family and friends at his side. Lee was born February 2, 1935 in Niles, California (Fremont). He grew up there, attending school and graduating from Washington High School. He worked for Carlson Bakery Supply as a transport driver, then went on to work for Columbo French Bread Company until his retirement in 1997. Lee chose to live in Lodi as he enjoyed coming here with his family, enjoying fishing and boating on the Delta. He loved fishing and spending time with his family, there were lot's of memorable fishing trips with his sons and grandsons. Lee is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie of Lodi, his brother and sister-in-law; David and Jeanette Rose of Fremont. Sons; Cliff Rose and daughter-in-law Cathy, and Russ Rose and daughter-in-law Nancy both of Fremont, daughter; Debbie Vandiver and son-in-law Guy of Arnold. Grandsons; Brian and Brent Rose, and granddaughters; Megan Rose and Janelle Lee Vandiver. Lee and Marjorie have also adopted as their grandchildren; Tony, Kathryn and Brianna Briggs, and have one great-grandson; Darren Rose. Lee was a member of the Lodi Elks #1900 where he enjoyed cooking for functions with his friends. He was also a member of The Valley Men's Club, and Teamsters Union #435 of Oakland. His latest venture was driving the bus for the Vintage Retirement Community until his illness. There will be no visitation at Lee?s request and committal services will be private. A register book may be signed at the Lodi Elks Lodge #1900, 1907 N. Lower Sacramento Rd, Woodbridge, on Tuesday, July 5th at 2:00 p.m.
