Paul Evelyn Crebbin passed away at his residence in Galt on June 25, 2005 at the age of 77. Mr. Crebbin was born in San Francisco on February 8, 1928 to William and Jane Crebbin. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1945-49, moving to Sacramento in 1955. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a Masters in forestry. Paul and late wife Shirley were married on June 19, 1954 and enjoyed 49 years of marriage until her passing two years ago. He first went to work for the Bureau of Land Management. Later Paul went to work for the State Board of Equalization, Timber Tax Division, as a Forest Appraiser. He worked in this industry for 37 years. He moved to Galt in 2003. He loved his family and his Golden Retrievers, Clancy and Buddy. He was a docent for the Sacramento Railroad Museum and was a member of the Sacramento Power Squadron. Paul is survived by his children, Laura Jean, and husband, Ronald Bohlender of Galt; Christopher Lee, and wife, April Crebbin of Placerville; Julie Lynn, and husband, Shane Baltierra of Sacramento; grandchildren, Ryan James and Lyndsey Marie Bohlender and Hunter Leon and Lucas Leon Baltierra; and brother, Kenneth Crebbin of the Bay Area. A Chapel Service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel. Committal will be private. Visitation will be held Thursday and Friday at Lodi Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
