Judy La Roe of Lodi passed away in Lodi unexpectedly at the age of 59 on June 21, 2005. Mrs. La Roe was born in Lodi, CA to Paul and Gladys Mayer on February 1, 1946. She grew up in Lodi, attending local schools, graduating from Lodi High School in 1963. She was employed by Robert Mondavi in the wine production information area for 23 years. She loved being with her grandchildren, traveling to Europe and shopping. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Bible Study Group and most recently, the Woman's Club. She was very loved and will be dearly missed by her family. Mrs. La Roe is survived by her husband, James La Roe of Lodi; daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Benjamin Mc Donald of Lodi; two grandsons, Benjamin and Jackson McDonald; mother, Gladys Mayer of Lodi and brother Ron and wife, Alice Mayer of Lodi. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Mayer in 2004. A chapel service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Lodi Funeral Home with committal to immediately follow. Visitation will begin on Saturday at Lodi Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, continuing Sunday from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children/Northern California Unit, P.O. Box 21-4477, Sacramento, CA 95821-0477.
