Mr. George Pinho of Lodi passed away in Lodi at the age of 90 on June 21, 2005. Mr. Pinho was born in New York on December 25, 1914 to Herman and Edna Pinho. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1946. He had been a machine operator for Supreme Dye Corporation for 15 years. Mr. Pinho moved from New York to Florida in 1969, then from Florida to California in 1973, settling in Lodi in 1980. He and Irene were married on November 24, 1986 at St. Peter Lutheran Church. He had been active in the Casa de Lodi, Casa D?Amigos, having been a past president. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. George enjoyed working on clocks and being a handyman. He is survived by his wife, Irene Pinho of Lodi; son, George Pinho, Jr. of New York City; two daughters, Jane Doran and Georgette Pinho of New York City; three brothers, Clarence and John Pinho of New York City and William Pinho of Florida; five step-children, Michael Klug of Nebraska, Nancy Day of Indiana, Shanda and Craig Heighton of Georgia and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Pinho and son, James Doran. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St Peter Lutheran Church. There is no visitation, and committal will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi, CA 95242.
