Jerry Hartley Schau born on September 19, 1946 in San Rafael, California passed away on June 8, 2005 after a short battle with Lung Cancer. Mr. Schau was a long-time resident of Galt. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Cathy, of 26 years. He was the son of Evelyn Meyer and brother to Charles Schau, both of Anderson, California. Jerry was the father of Terry Fidel of Bend, Oregon and Nicole Schwander of Elk Grove; grandfather to Dane, TJ and Leela. He was a business partner of Chapparal Fence with brother-in-law, Bob Grove of Elk Grove. A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Horizon Community Church in Galt with committal to follow at Galt Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday at Galt Funeral Home from 12 noon until 5:00 PM. The family requests remembrances to be made in Jerry's name to the American Cancer Society at 1765 Challenge way, Suite 115, Sacramento, CA 95815-5000.
