Obituary of James Edward Dunniway

James Dunniway of Lockeford passed away in Lodi on April 12, 2005 at the age of 64. Mr. Dunniway was born in Oakland on January 10, 1941 to Leslie and Mary Dunniway. He lived most of his life in the Bay Area, living in Newark for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1962. On January 20, 1962, he married Nola Wanger in San Lorenzo. He was employed as a stockbroker for over 30 years, having worked for Merrill-Lynch. He moved to Lockeford four and a half years ago. Mr. Dunniway enjoyed sports, including golf, but particularly baseball and football and was an historian of the Civil War and other periods of history. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Jim is survived by his wife, Nola Dunniway of Lockeford; daughter, Deena Dunniway of Lockeford; sons, James and wife, Melanie Dunniway of Tracy and Erin and wife, Kim Dunniway of Tracy; 7 grandchildren and brother, Ron Dunniway. A memorial service will be held at Lodi Funeral Home on Saturday at 1:00 PM with Preacher George C. Garrison of Church of Christ as officiant. There is no visitation.
