Hermelinda "Linda" Quintanilla of Manteca passed away in Manteca on April 11, 2005 at the age of 71. Mrs. Quintanilla was born in Mexico to Teodoro and Carlota Rodrigues on April 27, 1933. On January 5, 1958, she married Israel R. Quintanilla. She was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and she was an accomplished seamstress, but most importantly, she adored her family. She will be greatly missed. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Manteca. She is survived by her husband, Israel R. Quintanilla of Manteca; children, Ruth Buys of Lodi, Irene and husband, Stephen Faszer of Lodi, Noemi Quintanilla-Lince and husband, Domingo Lince of Texas and Israel and wife, Tonya Quintanilla, Jr. of Ceres; 8 grandchildren; brother, Elias Rodrigues of Texas and sisters, Elena Martinez and Esperanza Martinez of Mexico. She was preceded in death by her sister, Otila Chapa. A chapel service will held on Friday at Lodi Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. with Father Jairo Ramirez of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. Committal will immediately follow. There is no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Aid Society of Northern California, 105 S. Washington St. Lodi, CA 95240.
