Lester Hixson of Lodi passed away in Lodi at the age of 77 on March 26, 2005. Mr. Hixson was born in Toledo, Oregon to Melvin and Anna Hixson on February 3, 1928. He came to California in 1959. He first worked at George W. Reed in San Francisco, moving to Lodi on September 1, 1963. He was self-employed and co-owner as a real estate broker at Golden Empire Realty for 39 years. He enjoyed hunting elk, fishing, traveling worldwide and his dog, Ralphie. He was a member of Century Assembly. Lester is survived by his wife, Rebecca A. Hixson of Lodi; children, Dale Lee (Pam) Hixson of Lodi, David Lynn (Gail) Hixson of Stockton, Janice Lynn (Jeff) Torchia of Half Moon Bay, Clovis Michael (Debbie) Nuetzman of Springfield, MO, Bruce Lester Hixson of Riverside, Joni Vay (Al) Scribner of Visalia; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Franklin Hixson; sisters, Adah Averytt of Florida, Naomi Alldridge of Africa and Anita Roberts of Meridian, ID. Services will be held at Century Assembly on Friday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Harold Duncan and Pastor Dale Edwards as officiants. Committal will immediately follow. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM, continuing Thursday from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM and Friday morning. Memorial contributions may be made to Century Assembly in Lodi.
