Tillie Leicht of Lodi passed away in Lodi at the age of 98 on March 1, 2005. Mrs. Leicht was born on March 19, 1906 to George and Katharina Ulrich in Jacobstall, S. Russia. She came to the United States when she a few months old with her family, settling in North Dakota. She married Benjamin Leicht on November 11, 1926. In 1943 they moved to Lodi. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, ceramics, reading and cooking. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1943. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. Mrs. Leicht is survived by her daughter, Elsie Weisser of Lodi, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin (Ben) Leicht in 1982; daughter, Esther Adam and grandson, Larry Weisser; ten brothers and one sister. A chapel service will be held at Lodi Funeral Home on Friday at 10:00 AM with Pastor Steve Newman officiating. Committal will immediately follow. Visitation will begin at Lodi Funeral Home on Thursday at 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM, continuing on Friday at 8:00 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Building Fund, 267 N. Mills Avenue, Lodi 95242 or donor's choice.
