Mrs. Anna McKenzie of Lodi has gone to be with Lord Saturday February 20, 2005 in a Lodi hospital at the age of 85. Mrs. McKenzie was born July 13, 1919 in Auxvasse, Missouri to William and Leona Knipp. Mrs. McKenzie worked as a cook for Garvey's Restaurant in Stockton for many years before retiring in 1979. Mrs. McKenzie also was a volunteer foster grandparent for young disabled adults, through the Senior Companion Project at Valley Mountain Regional Center in Stockton for many years. She was a member of the Lodi Avenue Baptist Church and enjoyed baking, crosswords, and spending time with her family friends. She is survived by 1 son Kenneth McKenzie of Manteca; 1 sister, Ruth stone of Harrisburg, Missouri; 2 grandchildren Katy McKenzie of Sacramento; David and wife Kim of Salida; 1 great granddaughter, Kelsey McKenzie of Salida and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Wayne McKenzie, 1 brother Woodrow Knipp, 1 sister, Billie Eills, and daughter in-law Joanne McKenzie.
