Aurora C. Aguirre of Lodi passed away in Lodi on January 21, 2005 at the age of 85. Mrs. Aguirre was born September 26, 1919 in Reynosa, Tamalipas, Mexico to Juan and Anita Carrillo. She moved to the Lodi area in June of 1963. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing, but her great love was her family. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. Mrs. Aguirre is survived by her children; Herlinda Garza and Esperanza Garcia, both of Mc Allen, Texas and son, Eddie E. Aguirre of Lodi; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cayetano E. Aguirre in 1998 and daughter, Gloria Aguirre in 2004; two brothers, Guadalupe Carrillo and Audin Carrillo. A Chapel Service will be held at Lodi Funeral Home on Friday at 1:00 PM with Deacon Porfi Cisneros of St. Anne's Catholic Church as officiant. Committal will immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place Thursday at 7:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, continuing the same hours on Wednesday and Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Aid Society of Northern California, 105 S. Washington Street, Lodi, CA 95240.
