DOLLY KIESZ, age 54 of Lodi, passed away on January 1, 2005 in Carmichael. She was born in Lodi on December 27, 1950 to Lee and Frances Rund. Dolly attended Lodi SDA Elementary School and graduated from Lodi Academy in 1969 She attended Pacific Union College and later entered the nursing program at San Joaquin Delta College. She married Howard Eugene Kiesz on August 23, 1970. She was employed at Gibralter Savings for several years, but enjoyed being a stay at home mother when the girls were young. Later she was employed at America's Training Center in Sacramento for five years as an accountant and retired in October 2003 because of illness. Dolly loved birds and animals, especially the family dog, Tasha. She also loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She wrote children's songs for her two daughters to sing in church when they were very young. She was a member of the Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church and also attended the Church of God (7th Day). She is survived by her husband, Howard E. Kiesz of Lodi; daughters, Heather Nicole Kiesz of Tucson, Arizona, Holly Noelle Kiesz of Lodi; sisters, Gloria Jean and husband, Louie Yaw of Carmichael, Candee Adams of Lodi, 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Preceded in death by her parents, Leander "Lee" and Frances Rund. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home with Pastor Loyd Sewake of Carmichael Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday 8a.m. until l p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Heritage Foundation, P. O. Box 1358, Placerville, CA 95667.
