Irene Bourne of Galt passed away in Lodi at the age of 85 on December 30, 2004. Mrs. Bourne was born in Brooklyn, NY to Steven and Mary Benzinger on August 28, 1919. She married Harry Bourne in 1941 in Alabama. They came to California in 1944. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, music, particularly from the 1940's. She is survived by her nephew, Lloyd Gobourne of Galt; niece, Marlene Colbert of San Jose and other numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clinton Bourne in 2001 and daughter, Lynn Bourne in the 1970?s. A chapel service was held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Galt Funeral Home, and committal was at Galt-Arno Cemetery. There was no visitation.
