Obituary of Alice Bechthold

Alice Bechthold of Stockton passed away on December 29, 2004 at the age of 95 in Stockton. Mrs. Bechthold was born in Butte, North Dakota on November 20, 1909 to Daniel and Justina Hensel. She moved to California in 1920 with her family and settled in Victor. Alice married Arthur Bechthold on October 20, 1929. Mrs. Bechthold enjoyed embroidery work and baking. She was a member of New Hope Community Church in Lodi. She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Bechthold is survived by her son, Gerald and wife, Sherry Bechthold of Galt; grandsons, Eric Bechthold and Jeff Bechthold and granddaughter, Alison Bechthold; step-grandchildren, Jennifer and David; 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Alvina Fisher of Galt and Ruth Motz of Lockeford; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Bechthold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Bechthold in 1992 and three brothers and four sisters. A chapel service will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Jarrett of New Hope Community Church officiating. Committal will immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will begin on Sunday at Lodi Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 8PM, continuing Monday from 8:00 AM until 12 Noon.
