Obituary of Gladys Lucille Anderson

GLADYS LUCILLE ANDERSON, Age 91 of Lodi, passed away on December 4th in a local hospital. She was born in Bellingham, Washington on July 12, 1913. Gladys lived in Lethbridge and Calgary, Alberta, Canada as a child and came to the USA at the age of 16 and lived in Oakland. She married Robert Pip Anderson on June 18, 1950 in Oakland. The couple made their first home in Stockton for the first two years before moving to Valley Springs where they lived for 17 years. They came to Lodi in 1969. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for baking delicious pies. She also was a quilt maker and made different embroidered items. A former member of First Assembly, Century Assembly and later became a member of Westside Assembly where she was active in Women?s Ministries. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Westside Assembly with Rev. Leo Duncan officiating. Private interment will be at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Lockeford, CA. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wed. 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Westside Assembly Women?s Ministries, 75 N.
