Obituary of Noel Baker Harris

Mr. Noel Baker Harris of Lodi passed away in Lodi on December 4, 2004 at the age of 86. Mr. Harris was born in Dora, Missouri to Warren and Elizabeth Harris on May 6, 1918. He married Velvia Marie Owen on December 7, 1938 in Dora. They moved to the Lodi area in 1950. He had been employed with Supermold from 1950-1957 and then later as a dairy farmer from 1957 until his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Lodi. He is survived by his children; Jerry Harris of Norman, OK, Glane Harris of Webb City, Mo., Shirlena Fong of Folsom, Vanis "Randy" Harris of Stockton and Tommy Harris of Sand Springs, OK; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Noel was preceded in death by his wife, Velvia Harris on February 19, 2003; brother, L.B. Harris, and sisters, Ethel Thornton and Edith Orwick. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Cherokee Memorial Park with Mr. Jimmy Winchester of Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will begin on Monday at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, continuing on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM. at Lodi Funeral Home.
