Obituary of Nellie Field

Nellie D. Field was born July 8 1909 in Tomahawk, Arkansas. She passed away November 30, 2004 in Lodi, California at the age of 95. An area resident since 1926, Nellie worked at Stockley's as a Floor Manager for 37 years. She will be remembered as a fun loving, selfless lady who always put the needs of others before her own, and was always available to help someone in need. She enjoyed Bingo, Wrestling, Camping, Fishing, and Crafting, especially Doll Making. She is survived by her daughters; Donna Faye Huntley of Lodi, CA, and Ruby Ownsby of Oroville, CA., her son; Willard Harry Field of Lodi, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Edward Field, brothers; Ira Baker, Jack Baker, and Rufus Baker, and her sisters; Affie McGuffey, and Rilla Patterson. Friends may visit Saturday from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., Sunday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., and are invited to attend Graveside Services on Monday at 1 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Lane, the Reverend Paul Field will officiate
