EMMA KUNDERT, age 85, of Lodi, passed away on November 6 of natural causes. She was born on July 31, 1919 in Gackle, North Dakota where she grew up and graduated from high school. Emma moved to Lodi in 1943 where she met her husband, Bert 'Shorty' Kundert. They were married in March of 1944. She was a wonderful homemaker, cook, seamstress, handicrafter and excelled at everything she set her hand to. Her biggest joy in life was to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Ebenezer Congregational Church. Survived by daughter, SherAnn Lauchland of Lodi, daughter and son-in-law Patty and Henry Lauchland of Lodi; grandchildren, Cindy and Craig Gnos of Dixon, Matt and Tammy Lauchland of Lodi, Sandy Lauchland of San Jose, E.J. Lauchland and fiance, Eric Heng of Connecticut. Great-grandchildren, Christopher and Drew Gnos and Clayton, Cole and Halley Lauchland. Preceded in death by: husband, Shorty Kundert; daughter, Sandra Kay; son-in-law, Clifford Lauchland; parents, Conrad and Fredricka Muller; brothers, Jack, Art, Adolph and Eddie Muller. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family in a celebration of Emma's life to be held November 20th at 12 o'clock noon, at the home of Matt Lauchland, 5039 W. Turner Rd., Lodi. There will be no formal service. Please come and share your memories.
