Lawrence Stickel of the Lodi area passed away in Stockton at the age of 80 on October 15, 2004. Mr. Stickel was born in St. Francis, Kansas on November 5, 1923 to Jacob and Clara Stickel. He moved to Lodi, CA in 1925 with his family, and he attended Bruella School.. He was employed in the agriculture business. Lawrence was in the U.S. Army during WWII . He enjoyed fishing, music and visiting his extended family in different parts of the country. He is survived by his sister, Gertrude Metcalf of Lodi, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Helmich. There is no visitation, and committal will be private.
