Obituary of Eva M. Owsley

Mrs. Eva M. Owsley a life long resident of Lodi area passed away Tuesday July 27, 2004 in a Galt hospital at the age of High School Graduate Class of 1932. She attended Galt Bible Church and was a 90. Mrs. Owsley was born November 21, 1913 in Lodi to John and Elizabeth Young. Mrs. Owsley worked for Eastside Winery. Mrs. Owsley attended local schools and was a volunteer for the Lockeford Senior Citizens Center. She was an avid embroiderer and enjoyed cooking and especially reading to her grandchildren. She will be best remembered for her homemade apple pies and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by 1 son, John Stevens and wife Rene of Galt; 1 daughter, Elizabeth Burleigh and husband Bryant of Vallejo; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her late husband Charles Owsley in 1975 and also by her 1st husband William ?Steve? Stevens in 1948, 4 brothers and 7 sisters. A gathering of remembrance will be held Saturday July 31, 2004, 9:00 am at the Lodi Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Lodi Funeral Home.
