Mr. Wesley George Grosz passed away in Woodbridge on July 9, 2004 at the age of 90. Mr. Grosz was born in Underwood , N.D. to John and Eva Grosz on March 19, 1914. They moved to the Lodi area in 1922 where Mr. Grosz was raised. He graduated from Lodi High School. On October 30, 1936, he married Margaret Haskell in Oakland, leaving this area in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army under General Patton during WWII at the Battle of the Bulge. He opened the Sacramento Auto Auction in 1952. He retired from three dealerships in Sacramento, Vallejo and Fairfield. He lived in this area a total of 65 years. He was a member of the Elks Club and Green Valley Country Club and Temple Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, boating and playing poker with the boys. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ellen Grosz of Woodbridge; children, Linda Clark of Lodi and Mark Grosz and wife, Denise, of Lodi; four grandchildren, Jonathan Grosz, Melissa Olvera, Chelsea Grosz and Heather Veasley; six great-grandchildren, Ryan Grosz, Miguel Olvera, Joseph Olvera, Isaiah Olvera, Ariana Grosz and Janae Veasley. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Morris. A chapel service will be held at Lodi Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Perry Kallis of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Committal will follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Lodi Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
