Obituary of Edna B. Squires

Mrs. Edna B. Squires of Lodi passed away Sunday June 20, 2004, at her residence at the age of 95. Mrs. Squires was born July 2, 1908 in Orange, California to Joseph and Ella Backs and had lived in Lodi for the past 30 years. She worked as a secretary in Southern California before retiring in 1951. She especially enjoyed gardening and sewing, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna Baines Swinney of Lodi and Sally Heitkotterof Fresno; 4 grandchildren, Laura Baines of San Luis Obispo, Andrew Baines of Acampo, Shari Heitkotter of Fresno, Bryan Heitkotter of Fresno and 3 great grandchildren, Andrew Jr., Parker and Morgan Baines of Acampo. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald I. Squires in 1986. A chapel service will be held Friday June 25, 2004, 1:30 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home, followed by interment at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.
