LYDIA FILLHARDT, Age 87 of Lodi, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at her home following a short illness. She was born on January 27, 1917 in Big Stick, Saskatchewan, Canada. She came to the USA with her family at the age of 3 years old and they lived in Victor. She graduated from Lodi High School and attended Beauty College in Stockton. Lydia married Carl Henry Fillhardt on August 14, 1938 and they made their home in Lodi. They lived in Colorado during the war years while her husband was stationed there and she was employed by the Civil Service. Lydia worked as a cosmetologist for a few years and in 1965 began employment at J.C. Penney Department Store in Lodi as a clerk, retiring in 1985. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Woodbridge Golf and Country Club and the Lodi Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer Survived by her husband, Carl H. Fillhardt of Lodi; sons, Charles Fillhardt of San Jose, Larry Fillhardt of Modesto; brother, Johnnie Schlotthauer of Lodi; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Preceded in death by sisters, Mary Wittig, Martha Schick, Esther Wittig, Alma Squire and Annie Kludt; brothers, George and Jacob Schlotthauer.
