Stanley A. Perry of Valley Springs passed away in Lodi at the age of 56 on May 11, 2004. Mr. Perry was born in Modesto, CA on March 15, 1948 to Frank and Emily Perry. He lived all of his life in Lodi until he graduated from Lodi High School in 1966. He worked at Lake Camanche. He was self-employed, owner of Foothill Construction. He later went to work for Bawdin Drilling ,and then he worked for Calaveras County as the Superintendent of Public Works, retiring after 18 years in 2001. After his retirement in 2001, he went to work for K.W. Emerson Construction, recently fully retiring. He enjoyed helping his family and being with his grandchildren, street rods, fishing, repairing things and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Joan Perry of Valley Springs; children, Renee Zahorowski of Lodi, Gregory Kirk of Valley Springs, Scott Kirk of Stockton; mother, Emily Perry of Lodi; 3 grandchildren, Preslie Kirk, Scotty Kirk, and Jarred Kirk; siblings, Frank J. Perry of Farmington and Shirley Rego of Lodi. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Perry, in August of 2003. He was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church in Lockeford. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bill Warren of St. Joachim Catholic Church officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will begin on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM and Sunday from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM at which time there will be a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
