Obituary of Robert Volone

Robert Valone of Lodi passed away in Lodi on April 21, 2004 at the age of 88. Mr. Valone was born in Geneva, N.Y. on August 18, 1915 to Frank and Sarah Valone. He attended high school in New York. He had moved to Los Angeles and then to Pasadena. On February 16, 1941, he married Adeline Norby. He moved to Lodi in 1960. He had earned his teaching credentials at Sacramento State College. He was a teacher at Preston Reform School in Ione for 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, reading and mechanical things. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Adeline Valone of Lodi; son, Greg Valone of Stockton; daughter, Janice Valone; four grandchildren and sister, Violet Schindledecker of Oregon. He was preceded in death by his sister, Madeline Wester. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Don Bo of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation is private.
