Manuel Miller of Lodi passed away in Lodi on April 2, 2004 at the age of 88. Mr. Miller was born in Loreburn, Sask, Canada on November 10, 1914 to John and Anna Miller. He lived in Canada until 1939 when he married Esther Wagner on August 9, 1939 in Hague, and then they moved to Lodi in 1939. Until his retirement, he worked at Guild Winery in the maintenance department. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening and working with mechanical objects. He is survived by sons, Donald Melvin Miller of Livermore and Dr. Robert Gene Miller of New Iberia, Louisiana; daughter, Dr. Elaine Adele Miller- Debeau of El Dorado Hills; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther L. Miller in October of 2001. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday at 10:00AM with Pastor William Crabtree officiating of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. There is no visitation.
