Obituary of William, Seiji Furuoka

Mr. William Seiji Furuoka a life long resident of Lodi has passed away Sunday April 4, 2004 in a Lodi hospital at the age of 62. Mr. Furuoka was born July 24, 1941 in Lodi, California to Bill and Irene Furuoka. He owned and operated Sell-Rite Market in Lodi for the past 36 years. He also owned and operated Seiji?s Market in Lodi. He was a member of the Lodi Buddhist Temple, the Lucky Anglers of Lodi, and the Japanese American Citizens League of Lodi. He was an avid sports fan, and he enjoyed tending to his bird avery, fish aquariums, and his dog; Tofu, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Amy Furuoka of Lodi, 3 sons, Kent K. Furuoka of Lodi, Scott E. Furuoka of Danville, Neal K. Furuoka of Elk Grove, his mother, Irene Furuoka of Acampo 1 brother, Lucky Furuoka of Stockton, 1 sister, Effideam Komure of Sacramento and 1 grandson, Cory Furuoka of Stockton. A memorial service will be held Thursday April 8, 2004, 2:00 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home, interment will be at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.
