Obituary of Lacey Ann Ward

Ms. Lacey Ann Ward of Lodi passed away unexpectantly Saturday March 6, 2004 in a Lodi Hospital at the age of 26. She was born October 5, 1977 in Huron, South Dakota to Stan and Judy Ward. She worked for Target Dept. Store for the past 4 years, she also worked as a massage therapist in Lodi for the past few years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lodi, attended Lodi high school and graduated class of 1997. Lacey also attended Delta College where she received a massage therapist certificate in 2000. She was an active member and contributor to the Lodi Girls Scouts thru high school and enjoyed cross country skiing, kayaking, down hill skiing and will be best remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend and a caring heart for animals. She is survived by her parents, Stan and Judy Ward of Lodi, 1 sister, Kelly K. Schmierer and husband Tim S. of Coralville, Iowa, 3 brothers, Andrew Justin Ward of Vermillion, SD, Brady Scott Ward and Brian James Ward of Lodi, 1 niece Addison Kay Schmierer of Coralville, SD grandmother Evelyn Evans of Lodi, 3 uncles, Bill Anderson and wife Jean of Huron, SD, Jim Anderson and wife Vicki of Mora, MN, Mac Ward and wife Holly of Tucson, AZ, 2 aunts, Linda Reid of Detroit, MI, P.J. Barnes of La Jolla, CA numerous cousins and her pet dog peanut. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dwayne and Adeline Anderson, grandfather, Holly Ward and 1 uncle, Robert Anderson A church service will be held Wednesday March 10, 2004, 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lodi, followed by interment at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery in Lodi. Visitation will be held Tuesday 1:00 ? 8:00 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home.
