Obituary of Wayne Kobayashi

Mr. Wayne Kobayashi of Stockton passed away in Stockton on February 26, 2004 at the age of 53. Mr. Kobayashi was born in Stockton on June 10, 1950. He attended Stockton Schools , San Joaquin Delta College, and Fresno State where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology in 1973. He married Joy Masaoka on May 9, 1970. He worked for the San Joaquin Juvenile Hall, Transportation Officer, Group Counselor and had recently retired from San Joaquin County Juvenile Probation Department as a Probation Officer. He worked for over 28 years before his retirement. He enjoyed camping, billiards, card games, football pools and playing dominoes. He is survived by his mother, Molly Kobayashi of Stockton; wife, Joy Kobayashi of Stockton; daughter, Candace Kobayashi of Stockton and son, Jordan Kobayashi of San Diego; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace and Susan Kobayashi of Lodi and Ken and Bea Kobayashi of Adelaid, South Australia. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Kobayashi. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 6th at 2:00 PM at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 2343 Country Club Blvd., Stockton, CA 95204. There is no visitation and inurnment is private.
