Obituary of Vincent Joseph Vallarino

Vincent Vallarino passed away in Stockton at the age of 74 on February 24, 2004. Mr. Vallarino was born in Stockton, CA on March 27, 1929. He attended Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento. He also played for the Red Sox organization when he was very young. After playing baseball, he became an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad. He retired after forty years as an engineer. He was in the Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening, sports and his pets. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a resident of this area for 70 years. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Odell Vallarino, Stockton; daughter and son-in law, Valerie and Wayne Brunmeier of Valley Springs; sons, Vincent Joseph Vallarino, III and daughter-in-law, Barbara of Lodi and David Vallarino of Stockton; grandson, Kyle Vallarino of Lodi; sister, Rosemary Farrar of Martinez and nephew, Robert Farrar of Martinez; Uncle Al and Aunt Khlo; step-mother, Lillian Vallarino and Casey McDowell, who referred to him as her " silly pop-pop." He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Vallarino; brother, Warner Vallarino and father, Vincent Vallarino, I. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 6th at 11:00 AM at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel with Father Salvadore of St, Gertrude's Catholic Church officiating. There is no visitation and inurnment is private.
