Obituary of Sidney Beckler

Mr. Sidney Junior Beckler of Lodi and former resident of Stockton passed away Sunday February 29, 2004, in a Stockton hospital at the age of 73. Mr. Beckler was born November 20, 1930 in Wood River, Nebraska to Sidney and Minnie Beckler, Sr. Mr. Beckler was a carpenter and cabinet maker for Union Planing Mill in Stockton for 26 years before retiring in 1980. He attended Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lodi and was a member of the American Steel Classic Car Club of Lodi, the VFW Post# 9888 of Galt, and the Moose Lodge# 634 of Lodi. He had a passion for Classic Cars and classic boats, cabinet making especially furniture. He was an avid golfer and bowler and will be best remembered as a loving husband father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Darleen Beckler of Lodi, 3 sons, Michael Beckler and Partner Bryce Amato of Portland, OR, Bryan Beckler and wife Janet of Lodi, Marvin Beckler and wife Shannon of Lodi, 1 daughter, Brenda Landucci and husband Stephen of San Ramon, 4 brothers, Orval Beckler of Albany, OR, Raymond Beckler of Hastings, NB, Homer Beckler of Modesto, Paul Beckler of Montana, 2 sisters, LaVerne Engle of Stockton, Betty Beckler of AZ, and 8 beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Maynard Beckler. A church service will be held Wednesday March 3, 2004, 2:00 PM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lodi, followed by interment at the Lodi Memorial Park Cemetery.
