William C. Pettichord of Lodi passed away in Lodi at the age of 87. Mr. Pettichord was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on April 22, 1916. He married Jean E. McDowell on June 1, 1947. He had been in the U.S. Navy for 4 years during WWII. They moved to California in 1950. He went to business school and was an accountant before going to work for Loomis Armored Cars as an Armed Guard. He worked for this company for 35 years. He lived in Sunnyvale before moving to Lodi in 1986. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean Pettichord of Lodi; daughter, Sandra Rupert of Lodi; 3 grandsons and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Pettichord. There is no visitation and no service. Inurnment will be private.
