Obituary of Dennis Jones

Dennis Warren Jones of Lodi, passed away in Lodi on February 19, 2004 at the age of 57. Dennis was born in Kingsburg, CA, on December 20, 1946. He was self-employed as the owner of Stumps Plumbing Company in Kingsburg as well as working for GRB Plumbing. He also volunteered for the Fire Department of Kingsburg as well as driving ambulance. Most recently, he worked in the plumbing department of Orchard Supply Hardware in Lodi. He was in the Air Force for four years, Honorably Discharged in August, 1972. Dennis was a member of Harvest Bible Church, helping with the youth and providing a ministry to many of the men. He has lived in Lodi for the past 5 years. He enjoyed working in his shop area, fishing, building, cooking and baking, but most importantly, he loved and was greatly loved by his wife, children and grandchildren. He married Jean Maciel on April 7, 2001. They not only shared love, compassion and understanding, but there was a lovely friendship. He is survived by his wife, Jean Jones of Lodi; children, Ken & Katie, Kingsburg, Carrie & Chris, Arizona, Gary & Jeannie, Danny & Donna, Lodi, Brian & Bambi, Turlock, Mae & Carolyn, Renee & Melissa, Lodi; 15 grandchildren (and all of his adopted kids and grandkids). He may be missed, but will never be forgotten. He's with the Lord and will enjoy eternity with a smile on his face. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday at Harvest Bible Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Butler officiating. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Kingsburg Cemetery, Kingsburg. Visitation will be on Monday at Lodi Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
