Obituary of Edwin Mansfield

Edwin Lester Mansfield was born October 24, 1934 in San Jose, California. He passed away February 10, 2004 in Deer Park, California. He was 69. Mr. Mansfield was raised and educated in Redwood City, San Carlos, and San Jose, and was a graduate of Willow Glen High School. After graduating High School he joined the U.S. Navy where he served from 1952-1960. He married Carolee Collins April 17, 1954 in Reno and the couple resided first in San Jose and then in Alameda while he was stationed in Oakland. After his honorable discharge from the Navy Mr. Mansfield worked as a General Utility Clerk for San Jose Water Works for over 14 years. He finally settled in Lodi in August of 1987 where he became a member of the Lockeford Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed being a part of the church family and spent many hours doing volunteer work for the church. He is survived by his Son: Michael Edwin Mansfield of Portland, Daughter; Loraleigh Diane Reedy of Portland, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Wilber and Florence Mansfield, and his brother; Todd Mansfield. Friends are invited to attend Graveside Services on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Turlock Chapter. And also to a Celebration of his life at the Lockeford Seventh Day Adventist Church, Friday at 5:30 p.m. with Elder Ray James officiating.
